To celebrate TRION released a new dev video where Scott and the team look back at the past year and what’s ahead for 2012 and I think you’ll agree after checking this out there are some exciting times ahead. RIFT Heads to China
Posted 9 February 2012 by Rushster [Comments Off]RIFT will be releasing in China at some point in the future TRION revealed today. TRION are working with Chinese operator Shanda Games to get a localised version ready for release but no release date has yet been set.
“Our collaboration with Shanda is a huge step for Western premium games in China and we are proud Trion is at the forefront, setting the standard once again,” Lars Buttler, Founder and CEO, Trion Worlds, said. “The appetite for great, new original game experiences like Rift, that disrupt the existing paradigm of traditional gaming, is universal. Shanda, with proven track record of localizing and delivering content, is the best publisher for Trion to offer gamers in Mainland China an authentic Rift experience.”

RIFT Subscription Price Drop and Server Merges

Also today, TRION has announced that the monthly subscription costs have been dropped. You can now take out an annual sub for a really cheap £59. Also if you take out any subsciption plan in the month of January you will get an extra 30 days free. The new pricing in theUK looks like this…

RIFT Mobile Available

It kind of snuck under the radar this one, but you can now grab the first version of the RIFT mobile app. Right now the app is pretty much in testing and there is still no Android version. Scott Hartsman has said that the Android version will be released “soon”.
