Calling budding Foragers! I’ve added a couple more foraging maps to the Foraging page. They’re for Scarwood Reach and Moonshade Highlands. Bountiful crops await you.

New Foraging Maps
Posted 2 June 2011 by Elly [Comments Off]The Apothecarys’ Guide
Posted 8 May 2011 by Elly [Comments Off]Maxing out Apothecary was somewhat easier than I thought it was going to be. With some careful planning ahead and monitoring the auction house from the beginning I was able to buy up plants I knew I would find more difficult getting the quantity I needed later on down the line. The vast majority of plants I gathered myself and I didn’t need to use any recipes that required anything other than plants or reagents easily bought from an Apothecary trainer.
I’ve put together an Apothecary Guide which also includes a step by step levelling guide too, tips and also changes to Apothecary from beta right through to next Tuesday when 1.2, and crafting rifts, go live. There’s also a full shopping list which means you can plan ahead and get your Apothecary skills honed as soon as possible.
I hope that budding Apothecaries find it a useful reference tool.
Scarlet Gorge Gathering Maps
Posted 15 April 2011 by Elly [Comments Off]Brand new maps for miners and foragers looking for ingredients for their crafting trades are up in the guides section. I finished both for Scarlet Gorge last night and and added lots to the Freemarch foraging map too.
More to come so keep checking back.
Zone and Porticulum Map Updates
Posted 31 March 2011 by Elly [Comments Off]
I’ve recently revamped all the maps so they are consistent and easier to locate specific features. They all now show the porticulum and which faction they are available to, the zone’s level, the dungeon level as well as its location.
- Droughtlands map
- Freemarch map
- Gloamwood map
- Iron Pine Peak map
- Moonshade Highlands map
- Scarlet Gorge map
- Scarwood Reach map
- Shimmersand map
- Silverwood map
- Stillmoor map
- Stonefield map
In addition I’ve made a world map showing all the porticulums. It’s colour coded so that it’s easy to see which ones are available to your faction. I could have joined up all the dots but I don’t think anyone needs that and it just makes the thing look a total mess.
Foraging and Mining Maps
Posted 16 March 2011 by Elly [Comments Off]The other day I put up a foraging map for Silverwood and now I’ve had time to map out a few more areas, not just foraging but also mining now. The mining nodes certainly seem to be scarcer than for foraging. These maps should help you plan your route and also let you know when it’s worth veering off your course for a quick mine/gather.

I will continue to update these and others than I’m currently making so when going to the pages in the future make should hit hit refresh to ensure the you’re not viewing a cached version.
Also don’t forget to check out the Foraging Guide that also has details of what you can gather, what level you need to be and what crafts use them.
Leave any feedback or suggestions you have below.
Foraging Map – Silverwood
Posted 10 March 2011 by Rushster [Comments Off]Having been a Forager since the beginning of Beta I began to map out where plant nodes and logs were and what they yielded.
I have many maps but the one for Silverwood is at the stage that it will be a handy reference for fellow Foragers. A lot of nodes yield two types of plant, not so much the wood. I assumed to begin with that all nodes yielded at least 2 types but having been round Silverwood more times than I care to remember some nodes never yielded more than one type so I left them that way. If in fact they do yield the second type it’ll be rare as rocking horse do-dah because I’ve never seen it and I did a ton of node camping yesterday. Anyway, for now, here’s to Foraging in Silverwood.

Section Updates – Trainers and Secrets
Posted 19 February 2011 by Rushster [Comments Off]Well, I’ve had a couple of days back in RIFT and I’ve been shown more not-so-secret stashes of loot. I’ve collated all those with maps and details of some of the loot we’ve got on the appropriate zone puzzle pages. We’ve also done another full puzzle, Don’t be Cagey which has its own page. All can be found in the Secrets and Puzzles section. Thanks to Rushster and Nexaa for helping out with these.

I’ve also added a stack load more profession trainers to the Profession Trainers page. It was quite a challenge locating the Expert Runecrafter in Lantern Hook. I must have spent 15 minutes looking for the wee tunnel leading underground. I’ve put the coordinates of the tunnel too.
I’ll be adding more secrets and puzzles as I come across them.
New potion recipes have been added to the enormous list of Apothecary potions too. It’s beginning to groan under its own weight. Incidentally I spent 50 Artisan’s Marks today on the Basic Healing Philter recipe, apparently the first on the shard to acquire one. Health bombs for party members, sounds like it could be useful. My rogue will be testing these on my guild mates later tonight.
Scarwood Reach Map
Posted 10 February 2011 by Rushster [Comments Off]The latest zone to be revealed by Trion, Scarwood Reach, has now been added to the map gallery. As always it comes in three sizes, regular, medium and mega.
All the RIFT maps can be found in the RIFT Maps Gallery.
Mapping Telara – Scarlet Gorge
Posted 3 February 2011 by Rushster [Comments Off]Big and barren but still teeming with life, Scarlet Gorge was the latest zone to open up and controlled by neither faction, is also the first contested area we’ve had access to. It made trying to map it quite interesting, lots of mountain hugging. I was also a little low level to be in some areas so a few instances of a less than dignified ‘run awayyyyy’.
The image on the left links to the bitesized version but there’s a link at the top of that page to the other sizes, one of which is mega-sized which includes the wee image thumbs of points of interest too. That’s great for scrolling around and seeing all the nooks, crannies and shortcuts of Scarlet Gorge.
So far my favourite zone has to be Silverwood thanks to the variety of interesting locations and key areas to explore such as Quicksilver College, and of course the beautiful looking Sanctum with all its vendors.
As the beta has progressed we have been busy opening up the maps and exploring the world. As of today we have mapped out every area so far released in the Beta tests so if you’re looking for reference materials while you explore then take a look at all the zones.
Find all the the key locations and vendors.
Maps showing key locations to help you find your way around Telara.
With new players joining the Beta this weekend, I’m sure the Sanctum and Meridian maps will be very useful when it comes to finding your trainers and profession vendors.
Meridian City Map
Posted 27 January 2011 by Rushster [1]So I spent quite a bit of time revisiting Meridian this evening in order to create a city map. It’s finally done and has all the class and professions trainers, vendors and crafting details. I’m pretty sure I’ve not missed anyone or anything out but if I have please let me know in the comments.
