Now that I’ve progressed through Apothecary somewhat I’ve been able to craft my own dyes and I’ve been taking pictures of them on myself in leather and Rushster on his plate. There are seven new ones, exclusive to the profession.

The difference between the dyes applied to leather and plate is quite startling. I think they come out a lot better on plate than they do the leather especially with anything in the green or turquoise type tones. If you check out the leathers in those group of colours the differences are really rather subtle. It’s somewhat influenced by the shade of brown you’re applying it to, however, I’d like to see some more vivid colours on the leather.  If I dye my hat yellow I want yellow yellow, right now it looks like something I’ve left out in the sun for a couple of months, washed out and insipid.  Still, at least you can personalise your gear, I would just like it ramped up a little.
